Reviews and Ratings
I had a cozy stay in a small but comfortable room, perfect for a short trip. The hotel is located directly over the bar, so you can feel the vibrant atmosphere. The staff was exceptionally helpful, especially the receptionist who guided me on the best local transportation options. The location was perfect for my dad's train driving experience nearby, just a short walk to Sherwood Forest and the village's attractions.
I stayed in an interestingly laid out hotel with two connected single room spaces, providing ample space for a family of four. The rooms were small but well-presented. The service was outstanding, with staff going above and beyond, even offering to drive a wedding guest to the ceremony. The location was not ideal due to constant foot traffic, but it was still in a beautiful village. The dining experience had its drawbacks with slow service and hard poached eggs, but the hotel overall was recommended for future stays in Edwinstowe.
The hotel is ideally located for families with older children, though it can be noisy at times. The rooms were a bit cool but suitable for a stay in the courtyard. The service was excellent, with the manager Nev being particularly kind and helpful throughout our stay. The location is perfect for exploring Sherwood Forest and surrounding areas, just a short walk from various attractions. The dining experience was excellent and generous, offering a variety of options. However, the noise level in the rooms and the slightly cool temperature were minor drawbacks.
